Truth & Wisdom

"The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom, and the knowledge of the Holy One is understanding." - Proverbs 9:10

Mankato Christian Academy confesses that God reveals absolute Truth in Scripture, nature, and in Jesus Christ. We reject the view that truth is relative, unattainable, or non-existent. Yet because we are born sinful and “see in a mirror dimly,” MCA encourages faculty and students alike to approach their vocations with a spirit of intellectual humility, reverence, wonder, and awe. Our goal is to see all members of the MCA community spend a lifetime learning about the whole counsel of God and the majestic world He has created

Character & Faith

But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control - Galatians 5:22-23Now faith is the assurance of things hoped for, and the conviction of things not seen - Hebrews 11:1

Christian education places a priority on the cultivation of virtue. Mankato Christian Academy stands in the tradition of prudence, temperance, fortitude, and justice. These cardinal virtues are central to human flourishing and are properly directed in love for God and for service to his church. In our sanctified lives Christians strive ever to become more like Christ, knowing full well that the God who justified us freely by His grace also made us for Himself. We joyfully apply the Word of God to all areas of life, and seek out every opportunity for Godly living, faithful worship, and humble prayer.

Service & Leadership

Statement of Faith

Mankato Christian Academy is committed to our statement of faith, which stands on the foundation of Holy Scripture. Our vision, philosophy of education, core values, and all our principles and practices flow from the following:

We believe and teach that the Bible is the inspired and inerrant Word of God. (2 Tim 3:16)

We believe that there is one true God, existent in three persons - Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.  (Matt 28:19, 2 Cor 13:14).

We believe God created the heavens and the Earth, and all things visible and invisible. (Gen 1:1)

We believe that all people are created by God in His image to glorify and reflect Him. However, all people have sinned and fallen short of God's glory and need salvation. (Gen 3:1-24, Rom 3:23)

We believe God desires all people to be saved and experience His grace and know His Word of truth. (1 Tim 2:4)

We believe that Jesus is the one and only begotten Son of God. (Acts 9:20, 1 John 4:15)

We believe that Jesus was born of the virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, and died for our sins, was raised from the dead and is seated at the right hand of the Father and will come again to judge the living and the dead. (Isa 7:14, Matt 1:20, Mark 15:25, Matt 28:6, Mark 16:19)

We believe the only way to salvation is by grace through faith in Christ. (Eph 2:8-9, John 3:16)We believe the Holy Spirit brings us to faith and develops that faith through God’s Word and the sacraments of Baptism and The Lord’s Supper. (John 14:26, Rom 1:16, Matt 26:28, Acts 2:38-29)

We believe in the spiritual unity of believers in our Lord Jesus Christ. (Rom 15:5, Eph 4:3-6)

Our Mission

Mankato Christian Academy is a Christian High School committed to helping students grow in their knowledge of their Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, and to develop a Biblical Worldview preparing them to live out their faith as future servant leaders in their home, career, community, and world.

Mankato Christian Academy's constant purpose and objective will be to develop committed disciples of Jesus Christ. As the Gospel of Matthew states, we are to go, and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit. (Matthew 28:19)

Mankato Christian Academy exists to partner with families to develop future Christian leaders as disciples. As servant leaders, our students will use the Bible as a critical source for truth, and as a moral compass for discerning and decision-making.

In love, we aim to provide a firm foundation on God’s Word for our students to understand and address the many difficult issues experienced by this life lived in a fallen, sinful world. The decisions they will face both now, and in their future will be informed through the knowledge of God’s love, grace, salvation, and guidance.
