We are a high school serving students in grades 9-12, dedicated to nurturing their hearts and minds.We believe the strength of our school lies in our dedicated teachers and staff who invest in our students daily. Being a part of the Mankato Christian Academy staff means an opportunity for personal and professional growth. The Teaching for Transformation staff development that Mankato Christian Academy offers tasks teachers with the impactful journey of determining our sixty-year vision for our students. This vision continuously invigorates my focus on best practices in education to help my students reach their earthly and kingdom potential. It also keeps the central focus on Christ being embedded into the curriculum.

Being part of the MCA community has impacted me by giving me a model of fellow faculty who treat each other charitably and professionally, and who lift each other up. I really appreciate the freedom the faculty has to dream about classroom potential and professional goals--we are treated by our administration and board as people with important vocations in Christ. At MCA I feel like even the little tasks that are part of teaching are really allowed to be means to an end of building up a living community. In short, at MCA it's easy to remember I'm a member of the body of Christ, deeply steeped in human life and serving meaningfully.

High School English Teacher

Full-time

The teacher shall prayerfully help students learn attitudes, skills, and subject matter that will prepare them for the future in Jesus’ name. This faculty member will work with the English department to help guide students learn in accordance with the academic programs of MCA and its curriculum. Based on education, experience, and interest, this position will teach a combination of some of the following classes: English 9, English 10, English 11, English 12, Composition, Yearbook, Drama, Speech, and other courses in the candidate’s repertoire; additional experience with journalism, creative writing, drama, yearbook, or debate a plus.

Bible Teacher and Spiritual Life Coordinator

Full-time

This unique role combines classroom teaching (approximately 4 sections) with leadership of the spiritual-life program of the school. You will teach core Bible classes while serving to coordinate chapel lea, discipleship groups, and overall culture of faith formation.

Principal

Full-time

The Principal will assist the Head of School in managing the day to day instructional operations of the school and has overall responsibility for managing student life and faculty at the school. Responsibilities include encouraging and facilitating Christian community, providing administrative leadership, professional development and evaluation of school faculty.

High School Science Teacher

Full-time

The teacher shall prayerfully help students learn attitudes, skills, and subject matter that will prepare them for the future in Jesus’ name.

This faculty member will work with the Science department to help guide students learn in accordance with the academic programs of MCA and its curriculum. Based on education, experience, and interest, this position will teach a combination of some of the following classes: Physical Science, Biology, Chemistry, Physics, and other courses in the candidate’s repertoire; Introduction to Engineering, CAD, and/or Robotics a plus.
