"Preparing Students for the Future in Jesus' Name"
Mental Health Specialist
Hello! My name is Michaela Farley. I am a Licensed Associate Marriage and Family Therapist (LAMFT) and I’ll be partnering with MCA to bring mental health services to the school. This means that I will work with the students and faculty in a way that supports the students’ academic, mental, emotional, social, and spiritual learning. This can include school counseling, offering assessment and referral, and providing community-based support for the students and families. As someone that grew up in the Mankato community, values of faith, academics, and family were instilled in me from a young age within my family. They have continued to be fostered throughout my life experiences. I attended Colorado Christian University and received my bachelor’s degree in Interpersonal Communication with minors in psychology, business, and biblical studies. Following that, I was an intern for a year in a ministry in Chihuahua, Mexico. That experience led me to pursue my master’s degree in marriage and family therapy from St. Cloud State University, where I graduated in 2021. Since then, I moved back to Mankato and have been practicing here for the last three years. My experience and specialties include working with adolescents and families managing trauma, depression, anxiety, crises, and life transitions. In my free time, you can catch me enjoying a nice cup of coffee or enjoying a walk with my two golden doodles. I love being active and outdoors when the weather allows for it, in addition to spending time with my family here in Mankato. I am very excited to be partnering with MCA and getting to know you all more! If you have any questions about myself or my work, please feel free to set up an appointment with me or drop by my office.
Sincerely, Michaela Farley, MS, LAMFT
